You plan the question. I'll plan the rest.

Planning a proposal is stressful enough without figuring out how a photographer fits in without giving it away. So we plan it together: the timing, the location, where I'll be, where you'll stand, which direction the light is coming from, and how your partner ends up in exactly the right spot without suspecting a thing.

I'm experienced at building elaborate scenarios around the moment. I won't explain the tricks here, because your partner might be reading. But I will say it has worked every time.

After the yes, we keep going. You'll have a few minutes of the two of you, freshly engaged, in a beautiful place, with photos you'll want to send to everyone that night.

Where to propose in Las Vegas

A few favorite spots

  • Red Rock Canyon right before sunset. The cliffs glow.
  • Valley of Fire for the most dramatic backdrop in Nevada.
  • The dry lake beds when you want nothing around for miles.
  • Mount Charleston for pines and cooler air in summer.
  • Lake Las Vegas for water, bridges, and a dinner afterward.
  • The Strip and downtown for lights and energy.

Some locations need a permit and some have better light at certain times. That's part of what we'll sort out together.

The details

Pricing and timing

Proposals are priced at my hourly rate, $300 per hour when booking two or more hours, $350 for a single hour. How much time you need depends on the plan, and we'll work that out in conversation. Most proposals, with a little time for photos of the two of you afterward, fit comfortably in an hour or two.

If you haven't hired a wedding photographer yet, that's okay. A lot of couples I meet at a proposal end up booking their engagement session and wedding with me afterward. No pressure either way.
