A Little White Wedding Chapel, 1301 Las Vegas Boulevard South, between downtown and the Strip

A Little White Wedding Chapel sits at 1301 Las Vegas Boulevard South, on the stretch of road between downtown and the Strip. The chapel says it has been marrying couples since 1951. You have probably seen the sign even if you have never been to Las Vegas: the hearts on the marquee, the drive up wedding window, the pink Cadillac parked under a ceiling painted like the sky.

There is more than one place to get married on the property. There is the Little White Chapel itself, the larger Chapel Amore, an outdoor gazebo, and the Tunnel of Love drive thru where you never leave the car.

I’m McKenzie, and at a chapel I work for you, not for the chapel. Every photo on this page is one couple’s morning here, in order: walking up the aisle, the vows, the kiss, back down the aisle, and then out to the pink Cadillac. There are rolling suitcases against the wall in one of those photos. A chapel wedding is short enough that couples turn up with their luggage still with them.

Why couples pick the Little White Chapel

The main reason is that a chapel wedding is a reservation instead of a project. You choose a time, show up dressed, and half an hour later you are married. Couples who want to be married in Las Vegas without spending a year planning a wedding are usually looking for exactly that.

The second reason is that everyone recognizes it. The marquee out front, the neon, and the pink Cadillac are on the shortlist of things that say Las Vegas in one photo, so the pictures explain themselves to everybody back home.

The third reason is that it bends to the size of your group. Two of you in a car works. Two of you plus a couple of guests works, which is what the couple on this page did. A bigger group moves to the larger chapel on the property. Nothing about the day has to change shape because of the guest count.

What to know before your chapel wedding

Check in is 30 minutes early, and it is strict

You check in 30 minutes before your ceremony time, both of you together, fully dressed and ready, with your marriage license in hand. Arrive late, or without the license, or not ready, and the chapel applies its waitlist policy, which means your reservation is void until another slot opens up. That is written into the chapel’s own policies and FAQs, and it exists because weddings here run back to back all day long.

The practical consequence is that you get dressed before you arrive. The chapel says its venues are not equipped with bridal suites or dressing rooms, so hair, makeup and getting into the dress all happen at your hotel.

You can bring your own photographer

Yes, and the chapel does not charge extra for it. Three things come with that. Tell the chapel staff ahead of time. Count your photographer as one of your guests, because personal photographers are part of the guest count included in your booking. And expect your photographer to work around the ceremony and the staff, including clearing an area when they are asked so the next wedding can start.

That last part is not a complaint about the chapel. It is how the place runs weddings this quickly, and knowing it in advance is the difference between a photographer who gets your whole ceremony and one who is still figuring out where to stand.

The 15 minutes after your ceremony

This is the rule that shapes a chapel day more than any other. The chapel does not guarantee any venue time for photography once the ceremony ends, and its policy caps time around the grounds at 15 minutes total. Personal photos on the property happen after the ceremony rather than before it, and the chapel’s own photographers get first call on the photo locations. If you want that time protected, you can buy an additional time slot immediately after your ceremony.

Fifteen minutes is enough for the marquee, the Cadillac and a few frames on the sidewalk. It is not a portrait session. That is why almost every chapel couple I photograph adds a second stop afterward, still in their wedding clothes.

The marriage license

Nevada requires a Clark County marriage license before any officiant can marry you, and no chapel package includes it. Both of you go in person to the Marriage License Bureau downtown, the fee is $102, there is no blood test and no waiting period, and the license is good for a year. The county’s page has the current requirements. Bring the license with you to check in, because without it you will not be checked in at all.

How a chapel wedding usually runs with me

Most of my chapel couples book one or two hours. That covers the ceremony itself, the 15 minutes on the grounds afterward, and then a second location while you are both still dressed. The Welcome to Las Vegas sign is the most common choice, and the Strip and the Bellagio fountains are right there too. If you want photos before the ceremony, I shoot those somewhere else first, since you will already be dressed and the chapel has nowhere to wait.

Photography is booked by the hour, $350 for a single hour and $300 an hour when you book two or more, and I am the photographer at every wedding I take. Book your chapel time first, then tell me what you’re planning, because the chapel’s schedule decides everything else about the day. The Las Vegas elopements page goes into more detail on how these days are put together.

If the chapel is not really what you want, and what you actually want is to be married outdoors, that is a different day entirely. Our all inclusive elopement package covers the permit, a licensed Nevada officiant, my photography, a witness, ceremony music and champagne from $2,000, with first available dates from November 10, 2026.

The best time of day for photos at the chapel

Your ceremony time comes from whatever the chapel has open, so this is less of a free choice here than it is out in the desert. When you do have a choice, take the earlier slot.

Morning is the easiest hour on this property. The boulevard is quieter, which matters because the sidewalk under the marquee is one of the best photos here, and the sun is not straight overhead yet when your 15 minutes outside start.

Midday is more forgiving here than at most Las Vegas locations, and the reason is the drive thru. The pink Cadillac sits under a covered lane with a painted sky ceiling, so it stays shaded when the open sidewalk out front would be blown out. You can see the difference in the photos below, between the ones taken under that canopy and the one out on the sidewalk.

After dark the chapel’s signs are lit and the place looks like the version everyone pictures. The catch is that you still only get the same 15 minutes.

Ready to talk about your chapel day?

Send me the chapel, your date and the venue on the property you booked, and I’ll tell you what fits in the hours around it and where I would take you afterward. If you have not booked yet, tell me anyway and I can talk you through the timing before you lock it in.

Couples pairing the chapel with something else downtown often add the Neon Museum, where the old casino signs are, or head the other way to Red Rock Canyon about thirty minutes west of the Strip.

Questions

Good to know

Can you bring your own photographer to the Little White Chapel?

Yes, and there is no extra fee for it. The chapel currently allows couples to bring a photographer of their choice. You need to tell the chapel staff ahead of time, and your photographer counts as one of the guests included in your booking.

How much time do you get for photos after a Little White Chapel ceremony?

Fifteen minutes on the grounds, and it is not guaranteed. The chapel's policy caps time around the property at 15 minutes total after a ceremony, because ceremonies are booked back to back all day. You can buy an extra time slot right after yours if you want that time protected.

How early do you have to arrive at the Little White Chapel?

Thirty minutes before your ceremony time, and you both have to check in together, fully dressed and ready, with your marriage license. The chapel has no bridal suite or dressing room, so plan to arrive already dressed.

Do you need a marriage license before a Little White Chapel wedding?

Yes. A valid Nevada marriage license has to be bought before the ceremony and brought with you to check in. It is not included in any chapel package. The fee is $102 at the Clark County Marriage License Bureau downtown, and both of you have to go in person.

Can you get married in the drive thru at the Little White Chapel?

Yes. The Tunnel of Love drive thru is the chapel's original drive up wedding, and you say your vows without getting out of the car. The pink Cadillac sits in the same covered lane, which is where a lot of the best photos on the property happen.
