Wedding Album Options: Covers, Pages, and Add Ons
A walk through the wedding album choices McKenzie offers, from linen and leather covers to page thickness, engraving, and gilding.
It’s time to talk albums! Yay! The biggest choice you need to make is what album cover you want. Then you can decide if you want any upgrades, like thicker pages or a different paper type, or add ons like gilding, a cameo window, or text and engraving.

Cover options
Linen. Linen is a great route to go since there is typically no added cost, and it comes in 16 color choices. I personally think linen has a great look to it.
Leatherette. This is a great option if you want that leather look but can’t swing the full leather upgrade, or if you want a color that doesn’t come in the leather options. With 16 to choose from, it can definitely be a great option for you.
Leather. If you’re going to upgrade the cover, this is what I recommend. The real stuff! It comes in 12 color options, making it even easier to find one you love.
Bling covers. I typically don’t recommend bling covers for wedding albums unless you just love the style of them. They’re fun for a less formal album.
Crystal or metal cover add on. One more cover option is the crystal or metal add on. This one is only available for leatherette or leather album covers.

Page upgrades
Standard (0.8mm). Definitely the most popular. There’s no price upgrade, it’s already a nice thick option, and it lays flat. You can fit up to 70 pages in a standard album.
Thick (1.3mm). Just a little thicker than standard and fits up to 50 pages. It gives the album a heftier look, which is very attractive.
Rigid (1.5mm). If you want to go really big. These are very thick pages and fit up to 30 pages in an album.

Other options
In addition to the cover and page upgrades, you can add a cameo window, engraving or lettering, or gilding to your album.
Engraving and lettering. Your cover decides whether it’s engraved or printed. Leather books are typically engraved, while linen albums are printed.
Gilding. Gilding comes in black, silver, or gold.
Cameo windows. A small window in the cover that shows one of your photos.
Albums aren’t included in my packages, but they’re always available, even years after your wedding. Some products can be ordered straight from your gallery. Albums I design myself take more of my time and are quoted on request, so just reach out and we’ll figure out what you want.
